Dr. Saulnier joined Nirrin Technologies in January of 2019, bringing a wide-ranging base of engineering design experience to the team. Chris is equally comfortable working in a machine shop or in front of a terminal and has familiarity with a wide variety of fabrication technologies across scales from milling circuit boards to stitch-and-glue boat building.
Prior to joining Nirrin, Chris completed his Ph.D. in Product Design in the International Design Center at MIT. While at MIT he developed, taught, and researched innovative approaches to the product design process. He also completed a master’s in Technology and Policy at MIT in 2015, after obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Dalhousie University (Halifax, Canada).
In his spare time Chris can be found climbing or going on long trail-runs in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
